Star Fintech Company Limited was established by Star Telecom Company Limited on June 10, 2019 under the trademark "umoney" and is the first e-wallet service in Lao PDR. In general, the Umoney service is available for all types of mobile phones, from basic 2G mobile phones, which customers can access via the USSD screen *999#, to modern 3G, 4G and 5G mobile phones.
